Biosketch

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar is working as Assistant Professor in the Division of Biotechnology. He did his PhD in “Environmental Biotechnology and Bioenergy” from IIT Delhi, M. Tech in Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai and B.E in Biochemical Engineering from Kumaon Engineering College, Uttarakhand. His research areas include Environmental Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering and Bioenergy. During PhD, he worked towards exploring and integrating algal biomethane production with wastewater treatment. He has published 09 papers with a cumulative IF: 40.51 in international journals of high repute including Biotechnology Advances, Applied energy, Bioenergy Research, Algal Research and Bioresource Technology, 03 national articles (in Hindi) and various national international conference papers. Moreover, he has also filed one Indian. He has been awarded prestigious fellowships/awards including CSIR-SRA (Pool Scientist), MNRE-SRF, DBT-fellowship for M.Tech and MHRD fellowship for PhD. He is also acting as Editorial board member of two international journals and reviewers for various journal including Energy, Hazardous Material and other journals of biotechnology related fields. He is currently handling one R&D project from SERB, DST as Co-PI with Dr. Anushree Malik (at IIT Delhi).
