Although
the current academic activities of the Applied Science Department
are mainly concerned with on courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
for the four B.E. Degree Program of the Institute nevertheless,
School of Applied Sciences is engaged in preparing for introducing
the following programs: -

Industrial Metrology Laboratory is being set-up to offer the calibration
facilities to the precision engineering industry such as automobile
and related industries. Environmental Sciences Laboratory is to
be established to monitor the environmental parameters.

The objective
of this laboratory is to prepare graduating engineers in high-class
industrial measurement and calibration procedures. Its key element
and system includes the Micro and Nano technology sensors for high-precision
manufacturing.
Policy: Objective
achievements by indigenous homegrown technology based innovative
Research and Development Efforts through inter-Divisional and B.Tech,
M.Tech Project work, students involved, introducing appropriate
academic courses and intensive Industry Interaction Programme thus
thereby, effectively contributing to the Science and Technology
Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP). Opto- electronics instrumentation
has been identified as one of the key areas for there technological
efforts.
