An amalgamation of its efforts to maintain this benchmark recently helped NSIT receive a rank of 6th in the latest DataQuest-CMR T-School survey of 2015. The survey ranked the Top 25 Government T-Schools of India across various categories and calculated a composite score out of 100 for each institute.

The survey included IITs and NITs amongst many other government institutions. IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur were ranked 1st and 2nd, with a composite score of 81.52 and 80.38 respectively. Both had the highest scores across the Institute, Alumni and HR categories.

NSIT received a composite score of 70.18. The institute obtained the 3rd position in the Alumni category, although its overall rank was 6th due to its lower HR and Institute scores.

These latest rankings are a testimony to the erudite academic standards set in NSIT. Year after year, the institute has been featuring prominently in DataQuest surveys. In 2008, the DataQuest-IDC Survey had ranked NSIT 2nd in placement records among the top 100 technical schools in India.
